Memories

I have been very busy lately volunteering to help with this year's "A Brand New Year" - a youth DVD created by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Remember the first time I was involved with Brand New Year?

It was a wonderful experience last time and is a wonderful experience this time as well.

I feel so blessed.

Guess who found a piano in Thailand?

I found a piano.

And played it.

Even if it was just a couple hymns.

My family and I attended church here in Bangkok.

When they had nobody to play the piano,

I was all too willing to fill in!

The opening hymn in Relief Society was "As Sisters In Zion."

As I played, the women sang in Thai and my family sang in English.

I was touched to think that despite language barriers,

music brings us together and

we are indeed all sisters in Zion.

Hello from Thailand!

You guessed it from the title: I'm in Thailand.

In case you're considering a visit,

Thailand is an amazing place!

It's hot and humid,

but the people are wonderful

and the landscape is beautiful.

Just for future reference,

I'd better make sure to bring a piano with me next time.
